Meet the Artist
Hi, I’m Nadia Khan, the artist behind Mix Media Art by NK.
I specialize in mixed media art, with a strong focus on textured art. I love working with texture, colour and dimension to create expressive, tactile pieces.
As a qualified Interior and Textile Designer, my background influences my work, especially my interest in creating art that enhances and transforms interior spaces.
I work across several mediums, including textured art, resin art, air-dry clay, canvas painting, tote bag painting, resin , punch needle and more. While textured art is my main focus, I enjoy exploring many creative forms.
Textured Art in South Africa
I was first artists to introduce and develop textured art in South Africa, with a focus on making it accessible and easy to learn.
A key part of my journey has been developing my own textured art paste, refined through months of testing to achieve the right consistency and finish for lasting results. I also work with locally available materials, ensuring my techniques are practical, affordable, and easy to access across South Africa.
My goal is not only to create art, but to share the techniques and creative possibilities behind it.
